A Rather Unfortunate To Do List

Well, you may have heard already, but my wallet has been stolen. Yuky. I noticed it was missing yesterday afternoon, but we think it was stolen while I was out running errands yesterday morning.

Once I realized it was gone and had a breakdown slight panic attack, I had to get to work canceling checks and the debit card and protecting my information.

So today, what was supposed to be a lovely day subbing at the temple, is now my limited time to get things renewed and taken care of before we fly out of town on Thursday for Provo. Did I mention that I have no photo identification? All I have is a passport with my maiden name on it. Hm. Problem. We're flying on Thursday and it's under my married name. oops! Thankfully, we called the airport, and we should be okay. Never thought I'd need my marriage license 8 months after the fact...

So today:

  1. Call all the stores I was at yesterday to see if anyone turned in a wallet check

  2. Dumpster dive Check the trash cans around the stores where I think the wallet was stolen

  3. Spend an eternity 2 hours at the DMV to get a duplicate license (there has got to be a more efficient way to manage the DMV, i mean seriously) check

  4. File a police report check
  5. Replace my library card and check out books I have on hold to read before we leave on the plane check

  6. Squeeze myself into the temple recommend interviews tonight with the Bishop

  7. Ditto for stake presidency interviews (I'm supposed to be going to the SLC temple for a session with my Mommy next week!) yay!
  8. Oh yeah, and divide the bajillion 5 pounds of hamburger and freeze it before it gets worse goes bad ;)

I think that's it. It's been a long day. I'm so ready to get to Utah! Wish us luck at the airport!!!!!!

8 Months Down!

Wahoo!!!

Today is our 8 MONTH anniversary! And we're still alive!

Thank goodness.

However, I will be running to the store here soon to get some more antimicrobial (whew! big word) skin wash and rolled gauze.

yeah.

I've got another suspicious looking spot that needs to be watched. yuky.

You know what? I've decided that because John and I just get along so well, we had to be challenged with something. Though I probably would have picked something else to be challenged with...

But anyway, before John cracked down on homework, we went for a little hike over at Mission Trails Regional Park (and turned in our pictures for the contest, YAY!).

(I didn't know I'd end up in that last picture...)

But anyway, I am getting SO excited to go to Utah for my graduation! I didn't walk for a high school graduation, so this will be my first "real" graduation!! Though I think Jason still maintains I 'dropped out'...but how does a high school drop out graduate college? Anyways... It's pretty exciting. :) And then I will get to play with my Mom and Tish for a week after the boys (my dad and John) go home!! Hee hee...

we'll try not to have too much fun without you...

So my husband thinks I'm crazy...

...well, in part, that's true ;)

But THAT'S why they call us Krazy Coupon Ladies!! :)

Yes, I went to the store again for some serious save-age. (notice how I couldn't spell it as one word? yeah...savage? not exactly what I was going for)

Highlights!!
salad dressing - $0.29 each!!!!
ziplock bags - $0.87 each!!!!

and by now we have a LOT of cereal hanging out on the top of our fridge...try...11 boxes. but i haven't paid more than $1.50 for any of them. yessss...and no I did not get them all at once.

so i come home today with about 7 boxes of granola bars, 3 boxes of cereal, and 8 or 9 boxes of ziplock bags. john doesn't bother putting the stuff away (it's probably better that way)...he leaves all the organizing to me. What with the remaining 13 or 14 boxes of pasta we still have in the pantry...it's a little squeeeeshed in there!

But anyway, I know not everyone gets as excited as I do about my couponing adventures as I do, so I do have a little more fun news.

We're signing up for an amateur photography contest!! It's put on by the Mission Trails Regional park, so the pictures have to be taken there, but last month we went hiking on the trails and took our pictures we're going to enter. With a little touch up...voila! ready to enter!! So here are our entries (we're each submitting 2):

John's
"A Yellow March Morning"
"Good Morning"

Ashley's
"In The Stillness"
"One Bright Afternoon"

The best of show gets a $100 prize!!! wish us luck!!! We'll find out the winners on May 23!!!

Travis' Visit

John's brother Travis came to visit for the day yesterday! After having lunch with some old friends up in Pacific Beach, we took Travis to the Cabrillo National Monument.

John wanted a picture of this...

I hope you know who we are by now... ;)

The big glass thing. That reflected the light...whose name escapes me...

Being manly by the ocean down by the tide pools

The pretty water :)

Travis left this afternoon after church and waffles. He wasn't feeling well in the early morning hours, so we hope he feels better and makes it home safe! Thanks for coming to see us!!

Disneyland!!

Yes, I know, we're all over the place. By the beginning of May, we'll be vacation-ed out for the remainder of our stay here in San Diego (unless of course, Rob gets back to everyone about a wedding date...because I SO want to be there!!!!!!!!!) until August, when things get beyond insane for us. But I think we like it that way ;)

Anyway, we went up on Disneyland for 2 days this last week!! Not much to narrate besides the fact the Disneyland is AWESOME and even though I'm not a roller coaster person, I went on Big Thunder Mountain and enjoyed it!! (for the most part...I don't like it when it's pitch black)

So here are our pictures!

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen for helping make this happen!! :)
